Definition: 1- Turning or falling away from true gospel teachings as individuals or as a people. 2- The time after Christ's death when the people turned wicked and killed the apostles and disciples, causing the Lord to take His Church, priesthood, and revelation away from the earth.
Pronunciation: [uh-pos-tuh-see]
Also Known As: Spiritual darkness, spiritual death, the Great Apostasy
Examples: The Apostle Peter prophesied that Jesus would restore His Church after the Apostasy (Acts 3:19–21).
