These questions were handed out in a Teacher Training meeting that our Primary held. Answer these questions with a yes or no and then choose a few to improve on to help prepare yourself to be spiritually ready when you teach.

Are You Spiritually Prepared to Teach?

1. I pray to be filled with love for those I teach.

2. I pray for the children (or other students) I teach, both active and less active.

3. I ponder their needs as I prepare my lessons.

4. I strive to keep the commandments so the Holy Ghost will be my constant companion.

5. I study the scriptures on a regular basis.

6. I strive to live according to the gospel principles I teach my students, even if I do not completely understand them.

7. I am a positive example to the children (or students) I teach.

8. I seek the spirit while I study the scriptures.

I pray and sometimes fast for better understanding of the gospel principles.

10. I study my lesson with a prayer in my heart.

11. I know that my calling to teach is a calling from God.

12. I am striving to magnify my calling.
