The Bottom Line

Molly Chambers lives in a small Idahoan, all Mormon, town. She's always being picked on by the school bullies (both boys and girls) who tease her because of her name and call her "Molly Mormon".
Pros
  • Wonderfully Witty Writing
  • True to Mormon Life
  • Fabulous Book For All Ages
Cons
  • Overuse of Cliches

Description

  • One of my favorite lines from the book:
  • "Norman the Mormon Doorman" Childhood nickname of Molly's dad because he opened the door for people.
  • Another favorite line, "Kindness is a virtue. Patience is highly overrated."

Guide Review - Molly Mormon? by Tamra Norton - LDS Book Review

I absolutely loved this book! I read it in a day and a half because I just couldn't put it down. Not only is "Molly Mormon?" perfect for teenagers of all ages, it's also a fabulous read for any adult. Even though there are a lot of cliches most of them are used very wittingly. I laughed several times while reading this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it, give it 5 stars, and highly recommend! The sequel to this book, "Molly Married?" is also available (see the review link below). Tamra Norton is a very talented author and when I asked her where she came up with the idea for the book here's what she said, "The idea for Molly Mormon? really came in a huge wave! The idea just suddenly washed over me." Her web site is: http://www.tamranorton.com
