LDS Primary Singing Time Idea - Hot and Cold
An easy way to involve the entire group of children when singing.

By , About.com Guide

Preparation: Pick a theme- for instance temples or prophets. Make cards of them (or use pictures from the clipart gallery or the library) with song titles or numbers on the back. Then secretly display the cards (with the pictures showing) around the primary room.

Directions: When it is singing time have one child leave the room while the rest of the children and the leader select what card they want the volunteer to find. Have the child come in- have everyone else start singing. When they are walking closer to the selected picture have the children get louder and if they are walking farther away have them get quieter. It was also a good time to share and bear testimony about different temples around the world or about the life of a prophet. Keep repeating until all the pictures are found.

Note: If you're using the temple theme start with I Love to see the Temple or if prophets use Follow the Prophet, or whatever.
