This past weekend was especially memorable for me, as it was the 1st General Conference I have ever actually heard, not just read in the Ensign.
Absolutely awesome, and awe-inspiring.
And now we take those lessons, and use them in our daily lives, which can only bring us closer to our Father in heaven in thought as well as in deed.

I was especially struck by President Monson’s talking about writing personal letters to all the soldiers in his ward. I talked to some of the other ward members and we’re thinking about starting a ward newsletter to send out to all those gone from the ward. We’re thinking of having everyone contribute–pictures from the primary, notes from the older kids, articles or letters from the adults.
