Happy Father's Day!

Back in the April 2004 General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Elder L. Tom Perry, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, gave a wonderful message called, "Fatherhood, an Eternal Calling." Elder Perry shares wonderful quotes, examples, and scriptures about the importance of fatherhood.

I especially liked the following words about fatherhood by Elder Perry:

"Fathers, by divine decree, you are to preside over your family units. This is a sobering responsibility and the most important one you will ever assume, for it is an eternal responsibility. You place the family in its proper priority. It's the part of your life that will endure beyond the grave."

Fatherhood, just as motherhood, is an "eternal responsibility" because a family can be together for all eternity.
