During this past October General Conference President Jay E. Jensen, of the Presidency of the Seventy, spoke about the four essential cornerstones of the Church, which are1:
  1. Our testimony of Jesus Christ (which is the chief cornerstone2)
  2. Joseph Smith's First Vision
  3. The Book of Mormon
  4. Restoration of the priesthood
President Jensen then quoted President Gordon B. Hinckley who said:
"These four great God-given gifts are the unshakable cornerstones which anchor The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as the individual testimonies and convictions of its members."3
These four cornerstones are the basics upon which The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is built and continues to grow. Learn more about the Church and what Mormons believe with this 101 Course or take this quiz, What Do Mormons Believe?, to see how much you know about our beliefs.
