For Blessings, Knowledge, Wisdom, Peace

We need to pray to God to thank Him for the blessings He has given us: for our family, friends, and for ourselves. We need to ask in Him for knowledge and wisdom in our daily activity, to have peace of mind on everything, and to ask for help in order to achieve our dreams in life.

To Thank and to Ask

To thank our Heavenly Father for our many blessings while we are reminding ourselves of those blessing for which we feel so humbly for. To ask for blessings for the leaders of both countries and churches to lead us all to love and peace. We pray for our leaders to do those things that are pleasing to our Heavenly Father, and that we may grow closer to and follow in our Father's ways. Also to pray for families and others who are in need of special blessings, for strength to help others, and to show love and caring to all.

Our Communication with God

We need to Pray because it's how we communicate with God.

To Be Closer to God

When we pray we get closer to God. When we start praying, slowly all our problems go far away from us, then we feel for every solution we need to pray. God's love is incredible.

Praise and Thanks

I start with greeting God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. I praise them, thank the Father for the Son who died for me on the cross and then the Holy Ghost for he was and is and will be with me all the days of my life.

Thanks for All Blessings, Good or Bad

To have His spirit to be with us, to give Him thanks for all blessings good or bad, to be guided by Him, and to let Him know how much we love Him and appreciate Him always, no matter what comes our way.

Why Do We Need to Pray

I'm a convert to the LDS faith going on two years in Sept. I didn't believe in prayers but the day before my baptism my stomach was in a lot of pain. I knelt down on my knees and starting praying to Heavenly Father. I asked him to help me be strong because the other side was trying to stop me from continuing with my choice. I prayed so hard that I started crying and soon enough my stomach stopped hurting. That was one instance when my prayers were answered. I have been praying ever since and I do believe that prayer and reading my scriptures helps me a lot. My grandson (11 years old) also converted to the church and prays a lot. I pray while I'm driving- the scriptures say you can pray anywhere. I find myself praying for guidance, seeking help, thanking Heavenly Father for my blessings, and asking to keep the Holy Ghost close to me and my family. I believe in prayer and say this in the name of Jesus Christ, AMEN.

Our Relationship With God

Prayer is our relationship with God. God knows everything before we ask, but He wants to hear our prayers.

GOD IS MY LIFE

Without God I am nothing. He made me and has guided me throughout my life. I have had my times when I was not faithful to God but GOD has ALWAYS been faithful to me. When I look back throughout my life he has ALWAYS been there. I am a very rich woman for I have God in my life, I pray each and every day even if it is just to ask for forgiveness and thank him for his Grace and Love. Without God I would be nothing. My priest said a long time ago that people need to STOP AND LOOK AROUND them and they will see GOD at work. I see him every day and every minute. He is my savior, my protector and my life. Prayer brings me closer to God and my faith is STRONG! My faith will never falter. When things happen that are not so great, I know that God is protecting me from what COULD happen and knows that there is a better way for me. My faith is strong in God and I will follow him and pray ALWAYS! GOD BLESS!

God is the One

God is the one that made us. God sent his son to die for us so we need to praise him by praying all the days of our lives.

We All Need Help

I pray because before I joined the church I had a lot of bad habits and a lot of demons. I pray so that our heavenly Father can graciously give me the strength and guidance to get through each day one day at a time till I am in his perpetual light.
