The First Time I Saw the Temple
We were on vacation and stopped at the St. George Temple. I had been inactive in the church. I had never been to the Temple visitor center before, and the spirit that I felt there was amazing. After that at work things began to fall apart. The atmosphere was not somewhere that I felt I should be and quit my job in November. I decided that in January I would start to go to church. The talks and the songs were meant for me. I started to read the Book of Mormon and my family saw a difference in me. I finally made it to the Temple. What an amazing place. My heaven on earth. I love the Temple.
How the Temple Has Blessed My Life
My husband has passed away and I know that someday if I live like I am supposed to that I can be with him someday. The Temple is my heaven on earth. The Temple helps me each day to strive to do my best. Reading the Ensign and the scriptures also helps me to strive to do what I should do to live worthy to go to the Temple. My parents are a great example to me so I have a desire to go to the Temple. One time on a church history tour in the Washington, D.C. Temple, I walked into the dressing room and saw a sister from the Ogden Temple. She was on a mission and served in the Temple. She hugged me and said it was nice to see a familiar face. Wow!
