Faith of a Mustard Seed Handout

These cute handouts are lots of fun because your students actually get a mustard seed! There are several types to choose from, each comes in three colors (red, green, and brown/gold) in two available shapes (circle and square), and two phrases, "Faith as a Grain of Mustard Seed" (see Matt 17:20) and "Faith is Like a Little Seed."

Directions:
  1. You'll need some mustard seeds, I used Yellow Mustard Seed from the spices section of the grocery store. The actual mustard seed mentioned in the bible is "Sinapis nigra". (see Bible Dictionary, "Mustard")
  2. Open, print, and cutout enough handouts for each member of your class. (PDF files below)
  3. You can stick the mustard seed to the center of the handout in any of the following ways:
    • Tape
    • Hot Glue (with glue gun)
    • Laminate them in the handout, as shown in the picture. This is a bit difficult, but if you use a little glue to hold the seed in place on the paper it works better.

Each file has four pages, one for each Faith of a Mustard Seed handout.Notes: For the handouts that don't say "mustard" you can use any type of seed to represent faith as taught in Alma 32:28-43.
