Every year The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holds a General Relief Society Meeting which is broadcast to church buildings throughout the world. This annual meeting is usually held the fourth Saturday of September at 6:00 p.m. (MDT) for 1.5 hours in the Conference Center located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Members of the First Presidency and General Relief Society give talks to encourage, teach, and strengthen women worldwide. Every woman, whether or not she is a member of The Church, is invited to attend this meeting, either in the Conference Center (free tickets may be required as seating is limited), at her local stake building, or to watch the broadcast online.
A week or two after the General Relief Society Meeting, the October session of General Conference is held, which is open to the entire world.
All messages presented during the meeting are later made available in the following October General Conference Listing and the November issue of the Church's Ensign magazine. If you miss this great broadcast you can still watch, listen, or read the messages online.
This wonderful General Relief Society conference with its inspiring and touching messages is of great worth and I highly encourage you to attend the meeting and watch the broadcast. I am always spiritually uplifted after each meeting. For a quick peak from one of my favorite General Relief Society talks, see the adapted Mormon Messages Video: Create (it's only two minutes long).
