Janice Kapp Perry

The Bottom Line

This is a new music CD that Janice Kapp Perry, Steven Kapp Perry and Lynne Perry Christofferson put together. It is in celebration of Joseph Smith and the Restoration. A Piano/Vocal Songbook with script for SATB Choir, Soloists and Readers is also available.

Pros

  • The music beautifully tells the story of the restoration
  • CD includes two CD’s: A Vocal one and Performance one

Cons

  • Not what I expected from Janice Kapp Perry
  • The arrangement for Oh How Lovely Was the Morning was way different from the original

Description

  • This is a performance arrangement to be put together for a fireside on the restoration.
  • The CD includes the beautiful music for this arrangement.
  • The second CD contains the instrumental and choir arrangements.
  • The songbook includes the choir, piano and readers parts.
  • The music tells the story of the restoration.

Guide Review - Let the Morning Come: LDS Music Review

I enjoyed listening to this CD. The music was nice but not what I expected from Janice Kapp Perry. I really liked the song "God sends a baby" for the message it shared. I liked the choir arrangement for "Praise to the Man". I would have liked having a sample of the whole program including the narration on one of the CD’s, which would have added to the music. I did not like the arrangement of the song "Oh How Lovely was the Morning". I felt the rest of the music was nice but not one of my favorites, although I will keep and continue to listen to this CD because of the message of the restoration it shares. As stated earlier the song "God sends a baby" is beautiful and shares a beautiful message. This is a song to hear and share.
