The Bottom Line
Ready... set... spear! Catch that dinosaur before someone else does in this creative game by SimplyFun. In this game each player has a suction cupped spear that you use to "catch" food tiles (dinosaurs or coconuts) for your tribe. The first to get the right dinosaurs on the menu card gets to be the tribal chief who throws the bone tiles to know what dinosaurs you can hunt. The person with the most menu cards gets to be the Supreme Tribal Chief!
Pros
  • Original Game Idea
  • Very Fast-Paced
  • Nice Artwork
  • Great Quality
Cons
  • Suction cups come off the sticks (but they easily go back on or you can hot glue them on)
Description
  • Winner of the National Parenting Center Seal of Approval!
  • Comes with 6 suction cup spears, 64 dinosaur/food tiles, 12 menus, 4 dino bones, 1 instruction book
  • For 2-6 players, takes about 30 minutes to play, for ages 6+, not suitable for children under 3.
  • There's some good strategy in this fast-paced game, that's tons of fun!
Guide Review - Ooga: Family Game
This clever game is a lot of fun! Although it's for ages 6 and up my daughter, who's 4 1/2, can play it. She's a little young but still has fun spearing the dinosaurs, which is a great hand-eye coordination activity. This game is very fast and is a lot of fun! Because there's more strategy than luck involved it makes a great group game that even adults love! What's great is that you can watch an online video from SimplyFun to actually see how the game is played! SimplyFun games are sold directly through consultants, you can even become one, who come to your home and throw a game party so you can learn how to play some of their great games. You can also buy the games directly from their web site.
