Eye to Eye: Family Game

Eye to Eye: Family Game

The Bottom Line
In this game you read a category such as, "Types of candy bars," and then everyone has 30 seconds to write down three things from that category. The trick is to try and think of the same types of items (such as Snickers, Mars, etc.) as the rest of the group. If you do you won't have to take any scoring blocks, which is good, because the player at the end of the game with the least amount of blocks wins!
Pros
  • Clever twist on a classic game
  • Fast paced, but not too fast
  • Creative categories that are lots of fun
  • Excellent quality
Cons
  • Thirty seconds is almost not enough time to think, but it's what makes the game fast!
Description
  • For ages 12 and up, takes 30 minutes to play, is for 3-6 players, not suitable for children under 3
  • There some luck, but lots of skill, imagination, and fun.
  • Comes with: 200 category cards, 55 scoring blocks, 6 tiles and veto chips
  • Also comes with: 6 pencils, 1 pad of paper, 1 timer, starting pawn, instructions, and memory booklet
Guide Review - Eye to Eye: Family Game Review
This game is a lot of fun! I was surprised at how fun it was, because at first I thought it was too similar to other category games (like Scategories, or Family Feud) but it is definitely its own game. My family and I really loved playing this game and frequently thought of the same things because of our family ties. This is a wonderful game that even people who don't like group games will like! What's great is that you can watch an online video from SimplyFun to actually see how the game is played. At first I wasn't sure if I would like this game but when I saw the video of how it was played I decided it might be fun, I'm glad I did because it's an excellent game that I highly recommend! SimplyFun games are sold directly through consultants, you can even become one, who come to your home and throw a game party so you can learn how to play some of their great games. You can also buy the games directly from their web site.
