The Bottom Line

This book by Tamra Norton is about a young girl, Dani, during her junior year in high school. She's a Latter-day Saint who wants to be a journalist and who goes through things that most of us girls go through as teenagers. There's a great "love" story that's perfect- not too mushy, not too sparse. I don't want to give anything else away so make sure you don't miss this wonderful story!
Pros
  • Wonderfully Witty Humor
  • Enchanting Characters
  • Fabulous Story
  • Charming Writing Style
Cons
  • None!

Guide Review - Comfortable in My Own Genes: LDS Book Review

This was a really fun book to review because Tamra asked me to read her manuscript (sent by email) so that a quote from my review could be put on the book's back cover when it was published. Here's what my quote says on the back of her book, "Tamra Norton has once again created a marvelous story full of witty humor and enchanting characters. Her charming style draws you in to the main character's life. This story is a treasure for all to enjoy!" And it is. I love this book! When I received my review copy (for this review) I reread it. I chuckled and laughed through the second reading even though I'd already read it before. Here's a witty quote from page one, "On the first day of gymnastics practice last year, my face had a close encounter with a balance beam while I was trying to execute a handstand on that suicidal piece of equipment." Comfortable in My Own Genes is a fabulous book for children, youth, and adults. I highly recommend it!
