As of December 31, 2008 there were over 13.5 million members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints worldwide.1 Through the prophet, Joseph Smith, Jr., The Church of Jesus Christ was organized with only 6 members on April 6, 1830 in Fayette, New York.2 In a little over 175 years Church membership has grown exponentially.
