Definition: To put one or two drops of consecrated oil upon the head of the person who is being administered to for the sick. Performed by a worthy holder of the Melchizedek priesthood and accompanied with a prayer.
Pronunciation: [uh-noint]
Also Known As: Administer to the sick, bless with oil
Examples: Sara's head was anointed with oil when she received a priesthood blessing for the sick.
