LDS Lesson: Atonement

By Rachel Bruner, About.com

This visual lesson comes with ready-to-print clipart that teaches children about the Atonement in a simple way. It's perfect for a Family Home Evening or LDS Primary lesson.

Directions: Open and print the three page PDF file. Cut out the clipart which you can color and/or laminate. Place the road between home and school with the puddles (first Physical Death, second Spiritual Death) on top of the road, blocking us from returning from school (Earth) back home (Heaven). Teach the children how a Carpenter built the first bridge (resurrection) for free but that the second bridge (atonement) costs four coins: Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Holy Ghost.
