HARRY POTTER AND THE WICCA WEB
Part 4

Read what other Latter-day Saints are saying about Harry Potter:

I listened to all 3 HP books and loved them. The Audio Books were read with the proper accents. I too am waiting for HP4 to come out.--BOBKATZ
I'm just concerned about the recent craze of Harry Potter books. My 9 year old has read the first three and can't wait to read the next one. What bothers me is that the witches are the good guys. I have read that Satan really uses witchcraft and I wonder if this is a subtle way to lull kids into a familiarity of things that are inately evil. I also just have an uneasy feeling. I don't know if it is my general distrust of the media or if I'm being prompted as a mother to protect my brood from something.--LOLIJOY
I see nothing at all wrong with the Harry Potter books. I've read them all (1-3) and my 8-yr-old son just finished the first book and has started the second. They are very imaginative, well-written, and the line between good and evil is fairly clear. They still celebrate Christmas, so it can't be all bad! These books are destined to be classics in children's literature.--SERONAC
I LOVE these books. I can not wait for the fourth book!--WANDERINGROSE
I just wanted to announce that I have finally read HP 3 and I loved it! I was surprised, the author did a great job with the foreshadowing and clues again! I so cannot wait for the fourth book due July 8th!--DANIEL
I've become a huge fan of Harry Potter myself.  I got the first Harry Potter book and read it myself. I just loved it. It is very, very cute. The stories can get a little complicated (I've had to explain a few things to make sure my daughter understood what was going on), but they are good children's books. Adults will "get" some of the jokes the kids won't.--SANCHE
The Harry Potter books are great. They are harmless to Christian children as well as all other children. In my view it is an insult to the intelligence of children to suggest that they can't tell the difference between reality and fantasy. The appeal is that they are exciting, have really nasty villains, and ultimately good triumphs over evil. Another plus is that the hero is a bit of a geek and so most readers are sympathetic to him. --JWGOETHE
