Definition: 1- To return or make as before, to reestablish something, to bring back. 2- The Restoration (or restitution) of Jesus Christ's Church and gospel on the earth after the Apostasy. The Restoration began with Joseph Smith's First Vision in 1820.

Pronunciation: [Res-tore-a-shun] (1- verb, 2- noun)

Also Known As: Restoration of the Gospel, Restoration of the Church, Restitution

Example: The Church of Jesus Christ was Restored by Joseph Smith on April 6, 1830.
