Definition: An ancient civilization that lived on the American continents, named after Nephi, a prophet and leader who's writings of his days are recorded in The Book of Mormon.

Pronunciation: [knee-fight-s] (noun)

Also Known As: Ancient Americans

Example: The Nephites lived from 600 B.C. to approximatly 400 A.D.
