That night for supper we had chicken and cooked carrots. It was yummy. I got stuck on my math homework, so Gina's tutor came over to help me. I understand adding and subtracting fractions! I don't think that I'm grateful enough.

When I thought that everything was going to be all right, trouble started, more than you can imagine. At school on wednesday, someone told. "Hey Miraculous, you loose your mommy, and your daddy!"

"What?? Hun??" I turned to Gina, she told, I know she did. "Gina, why did you say something?? You swore that you wouldn't! That's not what best friends do!" I was mad, real mad, uncontrollably angry, I wanted to smack her.

"Mira, I swear that I did not say anything." Who else would have known. I yelled at Gina throughout the whole day, for the first half of the day she argued back, and by the second half she just stopped listening.

Gina and I did not talk all night and throughout dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Powell were worried.

Later that night the phone rang and it was for me. I went downstairs and sat down in the main living room area where the phone was.

"Hello?? Hello??" There was no answer at first but then there was a slight throat sound as if someone was getting ready to say something big or important.

"Hi.... Miraculous, I'm... I'm sorry...." Who is this and why is he sorry?? "Who is this??" I asked, with a rough tone to my voice. "This is charles, I'm in your math and english class." Oh, Charles, he was kind of chubby with red hair and always wore a bow tie to school.

"Look, Mira, I was the one who told, not Gina." Charles said nervously, waiting for a reply. "No, that can't be. How would you find out something like that??" I was afraid of what he might say. "Well that friday night I was outside on my scooter, when I heard you start to scream I got scared and hid behind a tree, and.. well I saw everything."

I was shocked, oh no poor Gina. "Sorry Charles I have to go." I crept up the stairs and opened Gina's door. The lights were off, and she was laying down, and as soon as I walked in her body turned facing the wall.

"Gina.. I'm sorry, I know now that it was not you." She just kept quiet. "I'm so sorry that I did not believe you before, I should have, that's not what best friends do. Will you ever forgive me??" Luckily Gina has a big heart.
