Sharing Time - Family Home Evening Lessons
A great way to help children teach their own FHE lesson at home.

By , About.com Guide

Object: To make and teach a Family Home Evening Lesson for the children to take home and teach during their own FHE.

Preparation: Prepare the FHE lesson, activity/game, and optional treat idea (just the recipe) in advance. Make enough copies so that one child from each family takes one home.

Directions: Teach or go over the FHE lesson in Sharing Time, have the children participate in the lesson and activity. Explain to them that they can now take the lesson home and teach it in their own Family Home Evening.

Example: The lesson is about the importance of prophets. Find the resources to go with the lesson, such as:

Articles: Games: Clipart and New Era Posters: Note: For families with more than one child you can suggest that each child do a different part of the lesson or activity.

See the Family Home Evening Category for more FHE resources. Return to the list of Sharing Time Ideas or submit your own idea!
