Sharing Time - Creation
This hands on lesson teaches children the importance of God's creation.

By Rachel Bruner, About.com

Preparation: Compile enough tupperware tubs (butter/coolwhip/sour cream containers work great) to have one for each child. Either gather enough items (leaves, rocks, dirt, etc.) from your yard or a park or take the children outside.

Directions: Teach a lesson about the creation or ask questions about why the creation is important and why we should love and respect the Earth. Then put a small amount of soil into each tub and let the children decorate their own creation/garden with leaves, rocks, weeds, flowers, sticks, etc.

Note: If you don't have access to these items or if you worry it will be too messy you can choose to have the children make a paper garden using clipart.
