Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are often referred to as Mormons- but why? It's because of
The Book of Mormon which is an ancient record of God's dealings with different groups of people who lived on the American continent. Mormon was the prophet who abridged this record and for whom The Book of Mormon is named. The history in
The Book of Mormon recounts how a group of people left Jerusalem, were taught by prophets of God, and were later visited by Jesus Christ.
Find out more about this marvelous book including how the gold plates (upon which Mormon abridged this record) were buried with a promise, as well as my own personal
testimony of
The Book of Mormon.
