LDS Philanthropies

The LDS Church has a great philanthropies site! (Definition of philanthropies.) You can donate money online with the Humanitarian Services Giving Opportunities and you can choose which area(s) you would like to give money to such as Emergency Response (Myanmar), Wheelchair Distribution, and Clean Water. You can even choose to make monthly donations, or just a one time contribution.

Under the Humanitarian Services section you can even find the guidelines and contact information for making and donating Humanitarian Aid Kits. There are many items that are needed including:
  • Hygiene Kits
  • Hand Towels
  • Quilts
  • Newborn Kits
  • Double Receiving Blankets
  • Layette Gowns
  • Children's New Clothing
  • Sewn, Crocheted and Knitted Items
  • School Kits
  • First-Aid Items
  • And Much More!
Our Stake Relief Society has been putting together kits, making clothing, quilts, and many other things for this great work that has so successfully been organized and run by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

You can find other resources in the Food Storage and Emergency Preparedness category too.
