Valuable "Counsel to Youth" and Old Alike

President Boyd K. Packer, president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, gave a marvelous talk earlier this month during the Saturday morning session of General Conference. His talk, "Counsel to Youth," is obviously directed to the youth and includes an excellent poem about an old crow and a young crow.

President Packer introduces the poem with the following:
"I am now 87 years old. You may wonder, at my age what I can contribute to your lives. I have been where you are and know where you are going. But you have not yet been where I am. I quote a few lines of classic poetry..." (see President Packer's talk to read the poem.)
After reading the poem he says: "With all that is going on in the world, with the lowering of moral standards, you young people are being raised in enemy territory."

President Packer's talk is full of wise counsel and advice that is valuable to both the old and young. I highly recommend reading both the poem about the crows (it's quite humorous) as well as the entire talk, or watch/listen to it online at LDS.org.
