Studying the Book of Mormon

Recently I'd been struggling with being consistent with my daily personal scripture study, partly due to a new (yet good) family situation. For the past two years I have been intently studying the Bible, first the Old Testament, and then the New Testament, while studying The Book of Mormon during our family's scripture study. I have loved studying the Bible, especially the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and have enjoyed using the Church's Institute Manuals during my study.

The other day I read a quote (that a visitor posted on my site's Facebook Page) about studying The Book of Mormon, which started me to ponder about the focus of my personal scripture study. I've also been reading the October issue of the Ensign which is a special issue that focuses on The Book of Mormon. After some additional pondering I felt it was time to reorganize my study of the scriptures and put more focus back into using and studying The Book of Mormon. Of course, I will still study and use the Bible and other Church Scriptures.

I love studying the word of God and enjoy implementing different scripture study techniques. What scripture study methods have you enjoyed using?

Due to an eye problem, I listen to the Book of Mormon
while I eat breakfast. I have a document that I keep
verses in so I can go back and study the things that
touched me or raised a question.

I can also pump up the font on my internet
and read along. It keeps my mind from wandering.
