One of the most important basic doctrines of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that we believe that families can be together forever. We believe that families are eternal in nature and being together with our families for all eternity is a divine part of God's Plan of Happiness.
Before the Earth was created we lived as a family in the spirit world, we are born into families during our mortal life on Earth, and after we die we can live with our families forever in the afterlife.
