How To Pray

Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World, commanded that we should pray to the Father. He taught us how to pray and showed us the perfect example of prayer. Christ also taught us some of the many reasons why we should pray when He said:
"Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41).

"Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you." (Luke 6:28).
But Satan, the enemy of all righteousness, does not want us to pray. The Devil is trying to destroy our happiness and does all in his power to stop us from praying. The Book of Mormon also teaches this truth:
"For if ye would hearken unto the Spirit which teacheth a man to pray, ye would know that ye must pray; for the evil spirit teacheth not a man to pray, but teacheth him that he must not pray.

"But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ..." (2 Nephi 32:8-9).
Prayer is a blessing from our loving Father in Heaven who knows us, hears us, and answers our prayers. How has prayer helped you? Share your experiences in the comments.
