A Day of Love

Valentine's Day is a day of love, but it doesn't have to be limited to couples. You can share your love with others on Valentine's Day in a multitude of ways.

Serving others is such a wonderful way to give love and can be done in very simple ways such as:

• Give a hug and saying "I love you" or "I enjoy being with you"
• Pray for someone (even a stranger) who appears to need help
• Give some of your precious time to someone else, including children
• Forgive another for an unkind word or action
• Make a personal gift instead of purchasing one
• Send a card of thanks, appreciation, or just friendship
• Email or call someone you haven't had contact with for far too long

Of course, these acts of love can, and should, be done every day of the year. For Valentine's Day this year, my husband and I made our Valentine's Day gifts for each other instead of purchasing gifts, making our expressions of love more personal.
