Most callings and forms of service within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints involve some form of teaching, whether in a class setting, in an organizational setting (teaching and instructing others as to their callings), speaking in front of the pulpit, as a home or visiting teacher, or even as a parent.
In chapter one of Teaching, No Greater Call: A Resource Guide to Gospel Teaching we're taught:
What resources, tips, and ideas help you as you teach others in and out of your callings?
In chapter one of Teaching, No Greater Call: A Resource Guide to Gospel Teaching we're taught:
"The responsibility to teach the gospel is not limited to those who have formal callings as teachers. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, you have the responsibility to teach the gospel. As a parent, son, daughter, husband, wife, brother, sister, Church leader, classroom teacher, home teacher, visiting teacher, coworker, neighbor, or friend, you have opportunities to teach. Sometimes you can teach openly and directly by the things you say and the testimony you bear. And you always teach by example" ("1: No Greater Call," 3).Here are some useful resources for helping to improve your ability as a teacher:

"Effective teaching is the very essence of leadership in the Church. Eternal life will come only as men and women are taught with such effectiveness that they change and discipline their lives. They cannot be coerced into righteousness or into heaven. They must be led, and that means teaching" ("How to Be a Teacher When Your Role as a Leader Requires You to Teach," General Authority Priesthood Board Meeting, 5 Feb. 1969). ("Gospel Teaching in the Church," 1).I love being a teacher and am blessed in my current calling as a Relief Society teacher. It is a joy to prepare lessons, to ponder gospel truths, and to seek guidance in teaching what the sisters need. I also love being a visiting teacher, it is one of my favorite aspects of gospel teaching.

I teach adult Sunday School and youth Seminary. I constantly use the resources at http://latter-dayvillage.com to supplement the teachers manuals (which are totally outstanding on their own). For the adult SS, I’ve also used a lot of clips from the new Old Testament DVD, http://www.lds.org/library/display/0,4945,8880-1-4978-1,00.html, which has more than 300 (according to them) nicely indexed pictures, videos, powerpoint slides, talks, etc.
