My Favorite Saying

My favorite saying from last year, which I heard from a friend, was:
"What other people think about me is none of my business."
I love this phrase. When making choices, however small, do you wonder what others will think of what you say or do? If you take a moment to really examine yourself you might be surprised how often your choices are effected by what you perceive others may think about you... I know I was.

Does it really matter what others think of us? No. What truly matters is what our Heavenly Father "thinks" of us, or in other words, I should make choices based on what my Father in Heaven will think of me.

What are some of your favorite sayings, quotes, or pieces of good advice?

I like that quote-and the thought of what matters most… really makes sense (Thanks for the great ideas!). My favorite scripture this year, goes along with the mutual theme: “Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest” (Joshua 1:9)

I really like the saying. “Live simplly, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly, and leave the rest to God.” What a wonderful world it would be if we could live by these simple words!
