The Joseph Smith Papers

JosephSmithPapers.org is a website about the collecting, organizing, transcribing, and publishing of the numerous documents related to the life, teachings, and work of the prophet, Joseph Smith.

When complete The Joseph Smith Papers will contain more than 30 volumes divided into six areas: Journals, Documents, Revelations and Translations, History, Legal and Business Records, and Administrative Records.

In this month's Ensign there's an article about "The Joseph Smith Papers: The Manuscript Revelation Books," written by Elder Marlin K. Jensen, Of the Seventy Church Historian and Recorder. Elder Jensen writes:

"The Joseph Smith Papers will lift the standards and accuracy of future scholarship dealing with Joseph Smith and early Church history," (Ensign, Jul 2009, 47).

As the first prophet of these Latter-days, these documents will be invaluable to those who study Joseph Smith and the history of the Church.
