Poll: Has a Trial Truly Tested Your Faith?

Thursday January 31, 2008
Sometimes when we go through a life-altering trial we wonder if others have had their faith truly tested. We see the lives of others and are tempted to compare our trials with theirs. The problem is that we rarely know what others are going through. We don't know what trials and tribulations they've experienced and even when other's share their experiences with us we still don't fully know how they've been tested.

I thought this poll would be interesting to see how many people have truly had their faith tested.

If you'd like to share, please feel free to do so in the comments or LDS Community Forum.

Losing my wife absolutely crushed me and my faith. I’m very lucky that friends cared enough to help.

(2) Bonnie B. says:

I have been inactive for about ten years. I recently lost my baby brother to a year long battle with cancer. And during that same year my mom underwent treatment for breast cancer. Over the course of that year, I realized that I do believe in Jesus Christ and that the BOM is true. By reading the scriptures I was able to keep my perspective, emotional stability and to accept the Lord’s decision as to what was best. I am thankful.
