President Gordon B. Hinckley Passes Away

i love you prophet, even if i dont meet you…thank you for sending me one of your missionaries here in my place. See you in Gods time.

I’m so sad and so happy. I know how much he missed his wife, now they can be together.

President/Prophet Hinkley was a wonderful person. I met him and his wife a few years back in St. Louis.
And he had the whole place on their feet
you could tell that he was a man of God.
You could feel the spirit within him. Now he will see what he taught for years. God bless

President Hinckley was a beloved prophet and he will be missed terribly. He was instrumental in forming the foundation of my testimony during my growing years and I will always look forward to the day when I can see him again and thank him for his love for all men.

I do not remember were, if it was in Manhattan or Phila. Pa I had just became a member of the church and sister Martha Shandon took me down on the floor to meet him.
And I have never forgotten that day. Like President Hinckley said if you stand fast to the words and paid your tithing you will always be bless. “ That ye contend no more against the Holy Ghost, but that ye receive it, and take upon you that name of Christ; that ye humble yourselves even to the dust, and worship god, in whatsoever place ye may be in, in spirit and in truth; and that ye live in thanksgiving daily, for the many mercies and blessings which he doth bestow upon you” alma34: 38 from the heat marietta g barnes from Downingtown Pa ward now in the Wilmington De 1 ward.

Your first paragraph says the Mr. Hinckley was the “first president” of The Church. Then, your second paragraph says that he was the 15th president.

Last night, as my family and I were talking about him, I shared my testimony with them, of how I knew that President Hinckley was a prophet of God.

Years ago, when attending college, I woke up one Saturday morning and heard the TV on. When I walked into the living room none of my roommates were there, but a Saturday session of General Conference (that I had forgotten was on) was playing on the TV. I started to watch and after some time the prophet, President Howard W. Hunter (who was the prophet previous to President Hinckley), spoke. While listening to him I had a very strong witness from the Holy Ghost that he was a prophet of God.

Growing up I had believed in our prophet, but until then I had never had such a strong manifestation of the spirit confirming to me that he truly was called of God to lead the Lord’s Church here on earth.

Since then I have always known, for myself, that the prophet, his counselors, and the twelve apostles are all called of God.

President Hinckley was a wonderful man who always cared and loved everyone. He was a prime example of pure love of Christ. He always urged and encouraged for everyone to do better, stand a little taller. I will miss him. I looked forward to every General Conference, to hear more guidiance and counsel from our dear prophet. I look forward to meeting him in the next life and Thanking him for all that he has done for everyone. He has impacted alot of people around the world!

President Hinckley will certainly be missed. I joined the church about 4 months ago. As I was studying, praying and learning; I was quite impressed by his humor and his thoughtfulness. His leadership in the church was truly inspiring. President Hinckley was a true prophet of our Heavenly Father. His service and his humor were inspiring. Thank you for everything you taught us.

Gordon B Hinkley has been my favorite Prophet since I have been a member although Spenser W Kimble was very memorable too. I loved his wife Margorie too. Funny how you feel so close, and you feel like youve lost a good friend even though youve never met them personally, kinda like when someone dies in your ward, you feel connected. I have enjoyed his leadership, his strength of character, his humour,His move with technology,his vision of smaller temples ,wow his strength at his age to travel the workd and lead the lords church up to the age he is is a huge deal, surely this is testimony that God lifts us up and directs the path of the church, the lord truly does bring forth the gospel through the weak. I love how the Lord counts the elderly of worth, by having them serve in Apostleship unto him, there surely is no such thing as retirement in the church
To His loved ones, his family and friends I give my condolances, what a privelege it has been to have known him. all my family give their deepest concern and love to you at this time, may god make your burden light and grant you peace

Prez Gordon B Hinkley was a gospel Giant i will miss his inspired talks and summons he loved the pple he came to Africa and he made me feel the spirit God be with u till we meet again will do follow yo counsel by standinng taller.

we miss you but yo far ahead of us.

President Hinckley I saw you for the first time this fall I will for ever hold in my heart the sweet spirit that I felt when you walked in the room. I love you with all my heart I miss you deeply. May God bless your sweet family until you meet again.
