General Relief Society Meeting

Tuesday September 25, 2007
Every year a General Relief Society Meeting is broadcast by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to sisters worldwide. Members of the First Presidency and General Relief Society give talks to encourage, teach, and strengthen women who meet together in local stake buildings to watch the broadcast.

I always look forward to the General Relief Society Broadcast and greatly enjoy the words from our Prophet, Apostles, and Relief Society leaders. This meeting is held in the Conference Center (in Salt Lake City, Utah) and is scheduled on a Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. (MDT) a week or two before the October session of General Conference.

All messages presented during the meeting are later made available in the Broadcast Archives and the following November issue of the LDS Church's Ensign magazine. If you miss this great broadcast you can still watch, listen, or read the messages online. Also see the LDS Church Broadcasts category for additional resources.

The Church has a new player that makes the video archive immediately available! Just wanted to share that for people who missed it and are interested in accessing it sooner than later.

Thank you for this new info! I was so happy to watch the broadcast again and typed up a blog post about it and the LDS church’s new media player.
