A Christian is someone who believes in Christ and follows his example. If you ask if Mormons are Christians, then the answer would be ABSOLUTELY, without any doubt.

(5) David Williamson says:

- people use words as short forms for their own, the individual’s, meanings
- in most situations the speaker and the listener have a common understanding
- the vast majority of people have rarely considered if Mormons are “Christians”
- people who use the term “Christian” often in their thoughts and speech have usually adopted the traditional concept of Christian i.e. Catholic, Baptist, etc
- therefore the question for them “is a Mormon a Christian” is generally NO!
- why? “because the leaders of the traditional churches do not accept Mormons as Christians so OK let’s go along with that idea because I don’t have the time or the interest to pursue the issue”
- when the question “am I a Christian?” arises - BTW I am certainly a Mormon and therefore a Christian - I ask “what is your definition of a Christian?”
- after genuinely listening to their answer I reply with “OK, then to you I ‘am/am not’ a Christian
- there is an old addage “a person convinced against their will is of the same opinion still!”
- the person to whom I am speaking will be more convinced towards or against considering the question of Mormons and what oportunity is has for them will be more influenced by my behaviour and my life style than any brief discussion on apologetics
- what, you don’t know what “apologetics” mean?
- may I humbly suggest and recommend that if you want to defend the faith that you love and trust then please consider learning about it and then next time you are confronted with this or a similar issue then you will leave the encounter more confident within yourself and hopefully the other/s will have more respect for you and what we hold near and dear
- Googling “apologetics” gives more than 4 million links
- one recommendation is any discussion consists of at least two sides, therefore please keep the “Iron Rod” firmly in your grasp as it provides balance and strength in any situation

(6) Bob Lewis says:

I believe in Christ as our saviour. I had that belief before joining any church.
I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am still a Christian and have an even better testimony from the truths I have learned from the scriptures.

IN The Eternal Love of Our Heavenly Father,I pray that all who are seeking will find these truths.

(7) Rosemary says:

As a convert of over 45 years, I say “Ofcourse we are Christians”. To me that means diciples of Christ - trying to live a Christlike life. After all, it’s the Church of Jesus Christ (restored)of Latter Day Saints (meaning followers of Christ).

(8) Vera Walker says:

Of Course we are Christians. And I was a convert after trying many churches, Including American Baptist, Primitive Baptist, Methodist, Nazerine, Catholic, Pentcostal, and Foursquare Gospel. All others has Some parts I agreed with and some parts I could not get answers to. I believed in Christ as long as I can remember, and this church just helped me understand why.

(9) Marianne Carver says:

I am a convert, I was raised Luthern and catholic. Their doctrine is basically the same in both churches. They justify to satisfy their worldly needs. There are good people in all churches. I believe in practicing what you preach. The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints does just that. If you follow the teachings of our Prophet and the Gospel standards you won’t go astray. There are good people and bad ones in every church. The “Mormon” are considered a peculiar people. That is because we follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, not a man taught man principal.

(10) David Williamson says:

I know that this is the Church and kingdom of God. It has been a part of me. Whenever it has prospered, I have gloried in it. When it was criticised, it has hurt me, for it seemed a part of my very being. Every fiber in my body bears witness that this is the gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness. I testify to you that this is the work of God, that Jesus is the Christ, our Redeemer, out Master, our Lord, and I bear testimony to you in all sincerity and in deepest humility.
President Spencer Woollley Kimball 1895-1985 - from Conference Report Oct 1943 15-19 - Ensign Feb04 - p51

(11) Francisco Ortega says:

El es mi hermano mayor y redentor. Y dio su vida por mi y la volvio a tomar para vencer la muerte y poder lograr la vida eterna. Se que El vive. Es imposible que deje de creerle.

Being a Christian.
For their fruits you will know them.
