Health Status of President Hinckley

Friday February 3, 2006
02/03/06 update: "President Gordon B. Hinckley continues to recuperate at home. Since his release from the hospital, he has already had a meeting at his home with his counselors in the First Presidency. We expect no further updates until next week."
__________

01/31/06 update on President Hinckley's Health Status: "Doctors are very pleased with President Hinckley's progress and have discharged him from the hospital. He is home now and continues to rest comfortably. We expect he will be able to resume his normal schedule soon."
__________

I received the following email notice (on 01/24/06) from the LDS Newsroom!
Following a routine medical screening, President Gordon B. Hinckley was found to have cancerous growth in his large intestine. The diseased portion of the intestine was successfully removed through a laparoscopic procedure.

It is anticipated that President Hinckley will recover rapidly and resume his normal duties as President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
No other news is available at this time, but we can remember President Hinckley in our prayers as he recovers from surgery!
