Christmas Poem and Gift

Saturday December 17, 2005
I received the nicest Christmas poem and gift set that I thought I'd share with all of you. My friend gave me a Christmas mat and the following spiritual poem:
The Welcome Mat

A Welcome Mat has an important role
It is not just for cleaning your feet
It reflects your attitude about life
And everyone you greet.

Make your new neighbors feel welcome
Invite in the children next door
Be polite to a traveling salesman
And welcome both the rich and poor.

Welcome your friends into your home
To share in good times and fun
And welcome those not so lucky
Be there for the lonely ones.

When you make your home a welcome place
You'll find great blessings in store
For when you make room for others
The Savior, too, enters your door.
My friend printed this poem on pretty Christmas paper, rolled it up, and tied it with a piece of raffia. This Christmas poem and mat make a simple yet spiritual Christmas gift that anyone would enjoy!
