Three New Family Games

Wednesday November 9, 2005
I've reviewed three more great family games from SimplyFun! I really enjoyed these games and two of them are my favorites, so read the reviews to find out which they are.

Aargh!
Find matching tiles of two or more to win gold in this clever family game based on the classic memory game. But don't be fooled, you've never played a memory game like this one, it's challenging even for adults, and loads of fun! Be the pirate, move the ship, and dig for that buried treasure in Aargh! It's "Yo Ho Ho and a Box of Fun!"

Bringing Down the House
Each person or team has a set of pieces for building their home including the foundation, walls, roof, trees, mailbox, family and their dog. Roll a set of dice to start building your house but if you roll three of a kind the house and everything else will come crashing down and you'll have to start all over!

Eye to Eye
In this game you read a category (such as types of candy bars) and then everyone has 30 seconds to write down three things from that category. The trick is to try and think of the same types of items (such as Snickers, Mars, etc.) as the rest of the group. If you do you won't have to take any scoring blocks, which is good, because the player at the end of the game with the least amount of blocks wins!

Find out more about these creative games including the pros and cons and how many stars they received, or find other family games in the Product Reviews and Family Home Evening Games categories.
